Because of concerns of the COVID-19 virus, Homes on the Hill has cancelled its Homebuyer Education (HBE) classes until further notice. If you are in need of our housing counseling services, please fill out the contact form and we will contact you.

Please continue reading and when you find your particular situation, note our continued effort to try to address your housing counseling need.  Thank you.

CURRENTLY IN CONTRACT
If you are already in contract and you are required to complete our HBE class by your lender or for a down payment assistance program, please let us know ASAP. We may be able to complete your housing counseling over the phone.

COCLT (LAND TRUST)
If you are required to complete our class to purchase a COCLT (Land Trust) property, please be advised that they temporarily have waived this requirement, although you may still need to complete the class before closing. Please contact COCLT for more information. You stillwill be required to complete your income qualification with HOTH-CDC, which will be completed over the phone.

OHFA (OHIO HOUSING FINANCE AGENCY)
If you are using the Ohio Housing Finance Agency as your down payment assistance provider, please remember to select Homes on the Hill as your housing counseling agency when you complete their application, and we will call you to complete your counseling over the phone.

ONLINE HOMEBUYER EDUCATION
If your lender accepts it, you may take our homebuyer education course online through eHome America at the link below. Please be advised that this course may not qualify for all down payment assistance programs! You must check with your lender! This course costs $99. Once you have finished the course, please call HOTH-CDC to receive your certificate. We also can forward your certificate directly to your lender.
